Germany-Tourism-Media-Day-Atlanta-main-1German Tourism Media Day:

I’ve been a very busy girl as of late and unless you’ve been following along with me on Instagram and Twitter, you might have noticed that I’ve been a little quiet here on the blog.

So without further ado, I’m starting off this Weekend Wrap Up of Blogger Events with Thursday’s luncheon (that’s practically the weekend right?) at the Germany Tourism media day.

To be official, media day luncheon was hosted by the German National Tourist Office and Leipzig Tourism at The Capital Grille here in Atlanta.  This was my first press luncheon since starting Peachfully Chic almost a year ago and I was thrilled to be invited.  I had the opportunity to visit Germany a few years back when my older brother was stationed in the Air Force over there.  I visited in February in the middle of waist high snow banks, so I was excited to see what the media day would highlight for us.

The main focus of the media day was to share more about 25 years of Reunification and Traditions and Customs, and Leipzig’s 1000th city anniversary. For those who don’t know, the Reunification of Germany is actually celebrating 25 years as a reunified nation in 2015, because 2014 marks the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Apparently the reunification of the two German states gave a huge boost to tourism in Germany, which I can imagine it would be so neat to now know that you get to see all of Germany when traveling the country!

Here are a few of the photos that German Tourism shared that made me ready to plan a trip myself!
